Well, not exactly, but it's been a very busy week for the Jaegers. Maybe we should just make a list...
1. Monday - normal day
2. Tuesday - Eli's parent-teacher conference. Angie makes 1st round-trip of week to Bellevue. Tries yoga and stretches unnamed body parts. Dyson vacuum arrives. Floor finally gets vacuumed after 2 weeks of having no vacuum. Roger stays late at school for parent-teacher conferences, Angie is off work all day to take care of crazy boys.
3. Wednesday - Angie is off work for 2nd day to take care of crazy boys and moves very slowly due to old (hey-I can't remember most days what I did the day before-so that makes it old) yoga injuries. Angie makes 2nd round-trip to Bellevue while Roger stays late for parent-teacher conferences. Angie vacuums more with new Dyson. Eli plays on neighbor's trampoline and comes home for dinner complaining of sore finger. He goes to religious education class and come home with now swollen and bruised finger. We give him ice and ibprofen. We tape his fingers together so he can sleep.
4. Thursday - Angie takes Eli to ER for xrays of finger. Finger is broken. Small buckle fracture on his pinky finger. He has to keep fingers taped for the next week and limit finger-stressing activities for the next 3-4 weeks. Thank goodness it's his left hand. Angie makes 3rd round-trip to Bellevue to deliver Eli to school. She makes it home just in time to have a few moments to herself before going to work for her 2pm-10pm shift.
5. Friday - Roger is off work today. We take Sadie to the vet for a planned surgery. She's having a fatty tumor removed and her teeth cleaned. We go to breakfast downtown at the Courtyard (by Marriott) and redeem Angie's $25 gift check she was rewarded about a year ago from work and was about to expire. The boys are thrilled to eat breakfast at a hotel. Jude has no accidents in his pants all morning. We are thankful as we forgot to bring spare change of clothes. We stop at carwash on the way home. Again, boys are thrilled to have water "sprayed" at them while daddy washes the car.
And the weekend has just begun...
(Sadie is fine, by-the-way. She'll be home in just a little bit to rest and be pampered.)

Mommy, where did I come from?
Much like his big brother, the wheels of Jude's minds turn deep in analytical thought...
Just yesterday we were returning a movie Roger checked out from the library. Jude made his very first trip to the public library with daddy to check out this movie just 2 weeks ago (where he was very quick to notice the magazine rack with the hot rod magazines and shouted to his daddy, "Whoa, check out that car, dad!") Roger thought perhaps Jude needed some instruction about how we behave in the library. He did learn that we just borrow books from the library and he's been talking about borrowing things ever since.
Back to the story...
Jude recognized the building as we were pulling up and shouted, "Look, mommy, there's the live berry!" We dropped the movie in the slot and returned home. Then, as we pulled into the garage at home, Jude asks, "Mommy, did you borrow me?" How do you answer that question? I asked him where we would have borrowed him from. He answered, "From school." Of course I said, "No, Jude, you're bought and paid for." That seemed to satisfy him. Now that I think about it, we've only just made the down payment on this investment!

Missed a whole month?
Ok, so I only blogged once in the entire month of February. Bad, bad mommy. I'm sorry, I don't recall having February this year. So here's what's happened:
During the first week, I got a wild hair and decided to post for a new position at Marriott. (Hey, wait, didn't I just do this a year ago, same time?) Anyway, I posted, was interviewed and offered the position all about in the span of 1 week. My new boss interviewed me on a Thursday and I started in my new position on the following Monday. My former boss may have been left with her head slightly spinning. I didn't get to say goodbye to most of my former department. I cleaned out my desk on Friday and they all showed up on Monday wondering where I had gone. I was lucky enough to be walking down the hall on said Monday to find my entire department having their team-meeting in the boardroom. I popped my head in and said goodbye then.
My new official job is (drum roll) Marriott.com Content Management Specialist (that's fancy talk for Internet Database Operator.) If you couldn't figure it out from the title, my department manages information that appears on Marriott.com (M.com). Right now I'm on the "Deals" team. We check over new offers that the hotels submit and want posted on M.com. We either reject or approve them. Then we use a handy-dandy program to put these "deals" on the website. I hope to be learning how to do custom webpages in a few months. I've had my eye on this department for several months and am so happy that they wanted me to be part of their team. I'm working nights again now (ugh), but hope that will also change in a few months.
The other highlight of February was of course, Jude's birthday. Our big boy is now the big "3." We had to postpone his birthday party on the 28th due to the snow storm that rolled in on the 27th and left about 6" of snow behind. So, we took the boys to the Amazing Pizza Machine and they had a great time. I've posted some pics. Jude got a "Click-Start, My First Computer" from Leapster from mommy and daddy. Eli got him the Transformer Bulkhead for his collection.
We tried to reschedule his party for this weekend, but both Eli and Jude got sick on Wednesday. Eli has the croup and ran a very high fever. We thought we were going to have to take him to the ER on Thursday night, but managed to get through. He coughed extremely hard and couldn't get it under control for almost 30 minutes at supper time then again in the middle of the night. Now we are just chillin' for the day. I ordered balloons for Jude for today, so we picked those up. I got out the fun noisemakers and decorated rice crispy treats to look like Wall-E. I guess we are going to just have a 2nd party for Jude with just the 4 of us. He's going to think it's his birthday every weekend now!
Finally, Eli lost his first tooth! I didn't even know it was loose. Roger knew, but didn't share that little bit of info. with me. He lost it on Tuesday night. The toothfairy left him a gold dollar. Awesome! Everybody is growing up. I want to cry.
