On day two, we tried to go to the zoo, but abandoned the whole idea when we couldn't even get off the Interstate to go to the zoo. We made a quick decision and took the boys instead to see the train engines by the botanical gardens then went on to the riverfront for a picnic and a walk to Iowa across the pedestrian bridge.

What dad and Jude do best.

Overlooking I-80 from the train engines.

Big engine...

What do boys like best?

Mmmm. Little King and Lunchables.

The pedestrian bridge in the distance.

Sculpture on the riverfront dedicated
to Labor.

Under the bridge.

If you stay still enough, you can feel the bridge
move gently in the breeze.

The little umbrella on the left is where we ate
our lunch.

On the way to Iowa.

Iowa. We think we saw the man that
lives in a van down by the river.

We didn't find much in Iowa, so we went home.
